Be careful what you touch at Walmart

On May 27th, 2011, I watched a Walmart cashier eat an apple, spit some of it into her hand, throw the debris into a passing garbage bin and immediately (without so much as wiping her hands off) go back to work at the cash register. Someone’s playing the Haarp over Long Island Sound?

A whopping settlement check

Too bad I neglected to cash this check I received, from the Yingling vs. eBay, Inc Settlement Fund, before it expired. Check out the amount!

The checks are “a % of the final selling fees that sellers were overcharged by eBay.”

Someone in this thread received a check for $18406.26

The postage was 25x more than the value of the contents.
I wonder how much the lawyers got?

Why winter stinks, inside my house

Forced air heating evaporates the water in our (unused) guest bathroom shower until the trap (a dipped section of pipe that always contains water) is dry and sewer gases rise.
