OSX Lion ~ a year later, still struggling

Does anyone else loathe Lion?

Why is iPhoto worthless in full-screen mode? Why is Mail worthless in full-screen mode? Why is full-screen mode still full of so many bugs and issues? How come, using Safari, when one clicks command-N for a new window the icon does not go to the address bar?

I could list 100 issues that I consider problems/bugs/working issues that are not acceptable. Hasn’t it been nearly a year we’ve had this Lion and all they can update is RAW compatibility and some printer drivers?

I’ve been an Apple user since 1985 and I have never hated my computer as much.

The innovations from OS X have been driving all of the progress of PCs (Windows) these past 3 or 4 years. Sometimes small bugs are the price you pay. I use both OS X and Windows 7 Today. OS X 10.7 is by far, less frustrating to use. That’s only the tip of the iceberg. You could always go back to OS X 10.6 or use Win7 on your Mac hardware; it’s an enormous downgrade either way IMO. I’ve never had the problems that you outline with my MacBook. Although I rarely use fullscreen…

You are right. ~ I’m not objective when I’m frustrated… and nothing is more frustrating than using a PC.

My complaints are a better expressed in the “Apple Support Community” ~ where the issues I experience are shared.

I also agree that I could go back… but you may be aware of the many difficulties in such a process. It means, falling back a year to a previous Time Machine backup …and then trying to bring things up-to-date manually.

The advantage, of course, would be that I’d have Final Cut, Creative Suite and my accounting software once again… all of which I lost with the upgrade.
I have considered it many times… typically just working outside of Full-Screen mode to avoid many of the bugs.

My point was that it’s been a year … of bugs. Not just a few weeks where they learn and fix.. but 11 months living with real problems that are documented in the support community ad nauseum.
